ALL LOCAL UNIONS SYSTEM COUNCIL
NO. 2
Dear Sisters and Brothers:
The next meeting for National Negotiations has been
scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 16, 2007, and
Tuesday, July 17, 2007.
I will be retiring effective July 31, 2007, as your General
Chairman and I can only say it has been an honor and a
privilege to serve our brothers and sisters during the past
twenty-five years. Vice General
Chairman/Secretary-Treasurer Brother Pat Perry has advised
that for the betterment of the System Council and on account
of his age and health issues, he is requesting to decline
the position of General Chairman and remain in his elected
position. He has recommended Assistant General
Chairman Brother James Wisniski to succeed to the office of
General Chairman upon my retirement.
Effective July 1, 2007, I am putting Assistant General
Chairman Randy Shell on as a fulltime Assistant General
Chairman.
We have currently received thirteen (13) Awards from our
most recent Public Law Board 7001 with the Honorable Don
Hampton and those Local Chairmen and Claimants are being
notified by certified mail—return receipt requested.
This leave three (3) remaining Awards to be received of the
first group heard on March 21, 2007.
President and Brother Edwin Hill has appointed Brother Jim
Prizmich, President, Local Union 708, along with IVP Eighth
District Ted Jensen to head up the Code of Excellence.
Therefore, this will advise that he will be contacting the
various Local Union Presidents to give his presentation.
Vice General Chairman/Secretary-Treasurer Pat Perry is
recovering quite well but it has been a long process from
his current knee replacement surgery.
